In this review, we are going to compare the Breville BJE200XL 700 Watt Compact Juice Fountain to the Greenstar GS-1000 Juice Extractor. I have had the opportunity to use both and I have to say there are a lot of differences.

Let’s start with the Breville BJE200XL 700 Watt Compact Juice Fountain:

-Obviously, it’s compact. It takes up very little room.

-It is very easy to clean, with minimal pieces to take a part, all of which are dishwasher safe.

-It is loud

-For spending only $100, it is exceptionally prices compared to the whopping $385-439 cost of the Greenstar juicer.

-With 570 reviews on Amazon, it has a 4.5 star rating out of 5 stars.

-It does a pretty good job extracting juice out of foods such as carrots, celery, cucumber, apples, but not as good on softer items like tomatoes and pineapple. There is quite a bit of pulp and there seems to be more juice in the pulp that the juicer could have gotten. However overall, especially for the price point, I am pleased.

Now for the Greenstar GS-1000 Juice Extractor

-Considered one of the top juicers available

-Though it isn’t compact, it still doesn’t take up too much room but still more than the Breville.

-Obviously, the price is considerably more.

-Though it costs more, it gets A LOT more juice out of the food and the pulp is considerably drier, which means you are wasting a lot less.

-The juice is thinner, meaning no pulp which is seriously nice if you are a texture person.

-This juicer can juice anything, including things like almonds if you want to make your own almond milk which the Breville could not do.

-It is not a loud as the Breville which is nice.

-There are more parts to the Greenstar Juicer so it’s takes a little more time. However, the pieces are easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

-It has 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon which is pretty good, though that’s out of only 8 reviews.

- They have other models such as the 2000 and the 3000 that aren’t much more or even the same price and have equally good reviews.

My Thoughts About The Breville BJE200XL 700 Watt Compact Juice Fountain Versus the Greenstar GS-1000 Juice Extractor

I think that both juicers are great, however you definitely get what you pay for. I think it really comes down to this: if you are going to be a serious juicer, I would definitely recommend investing in the Greenstar Juicer. You will waste a lot less food, and the juice will be much more pleasant to drink if you are the type of person that doesn’t like any pulp whatsoever.

If you are wanting to juice only on occasion or are not sure how much you are actually going to be juicing, I would definitely stick with the Breville. If you find out later you are consistently juicing, then you can upgrade at a later time. For example, I got on my kick and was juicing quite often. Then we moved, and I haven’t touched it since and it’s been months. When I get to the point that I am juicing on a regular basis, I will then upgrade my juicer to the Greenstar, especially because I hate wasting anything. Until then, my Breville suits me just fine.

So it comes down to your budget, frequency of juicing, and what you plan on juicing. Whichever you choose, Amazon is by far the best place to get either juicer. When I bought my Breville, they were by far the best price (it was the best price for the Greenstar as well) and when I looked today, they still had the best prices, free shipping offers, and great return policies. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to start juicing, and get healthy!!!
